Delivery Information
At Joe Parrots, we make sure that every customer enjoys a smooth and stress-free delivery process. Once your payment has been confirmed, your parrot will be booked for next-day delivery. For instance, if you finalize your purchase today, your feathered friend will be arriving by tomorrow evening. As soon as shipping arrangements are completed, we’ll share a tracking number along with all the necessary details so you can follow your parrot’s journey.
Shipping Information
Your parrot’s travel is simple, secure, and comfortable. Each bird is transported in a climate-controlled, pet-friendly cabin using an airline-approved carrier. Before shipping, we’ll provide you with the flight number, expected arrival time, and a reference number so you can track your parrot with ease.
We offer two convenient delivery options:
Home Delivery: Your parrot is delivered directly to your specified address.
Airport Pickup: Collect your parrot at the airport using the provided reference/airbill number, similar to a regular passenger pickup.

How We Ship Our Parrots
Airline shipping is the fastest and most reliable way to transport parrots, especially for customers in distant states or regions. Our parrots are shipped in airline-approved pet kennels that are customized to their size, weight, and travel duration. They travel in a pressurized and climate-controlled compartment designed specifically for animals, separate from passenger luggage.
Each kennel is clearly marked with “LIVE ANIMALS” and “UP” stickers for easy identification, along with your destination details and contact information. To ensure comfort, we introduce parrots to their travel crates ahead of time, so they’re already familiar with them. Food and water are provided for the journey, ensuring that even during layovers or unexpected delays, your bird remains comfortable and nourished.
Weather conditions are always checked before shipping. If conditions are unsafe, we’ll reschedule for the next safe date. We ship Monday through Saturday and guarantee safe and healthy delivery. While some parrots may take a day or two to settle after arrival, most adapt quickly.
Nanny Shipping Option
For added peace of mind, Joe Parrots also offers a Nanny Shipping Service, where a professional Airline Pet Nanny personally accompanies your parrot during the flight and hand-delivers them directly to you. This is the safest and least stressful travel option, as your parrot receives constant care and attention throughout the journey.
Additional Shipping Notes
Every parrot is shipped with food, water, and soft bedding.
We mainly partner with American Airlines, United Airlines, and Continental Airlines, which provide specialized pet-friendly compartments.
A valid Health Certificate is required for all parrots traveling by air to ensure safety and compliance.
Upon Arrival
Be ready to collect your parrot either at home or at the airport during the scheduled time.
Parrots are usually available for pickup about one hour after flight arrival.
Bring a valid photo ID (such as a driver’s license) for airport pickups.
Once your parrot is with you, kindly contact us by phone or email to confirm safe delivery.
We recommend scheduling a vet visit within 48 hours for a routine check-up.
Our team will also follow up within 24 hours of delivery to answer your questions and ensure your satisfaction.
