Health Guarantee

Initial Veterinary Check:
Within 10 days of purchasing your parrot, please schedule an appointment with a licensed avian veterinarian. If the vet determines your parrot was clinically ill or suffered an injury that occurred before or on the date of purchase, contact us immediately.

Health Assurance:
We guarantee that all parrots from Joe Parrots are free from infectious or contagious diseases at the time of adoption. While factors such as genetics, diet, exercise, and daily care are beyond our control, we remain dedicated to supporting you in maintaining your bird’s health.

One-Year Genetic Health Guarantee:
If your parrot passes away within one year of birth due to a genetic condition, or is diagnosed with a congenital/hereditary disorder affecting their health, we will provide a replacement parrot of equal value at no additional cost. A licensed veterinarian must certify the cause of death.

Your Responsibilities

To help keep your parrot healthy and thriving:

• Veterinary Records: Provide us with a copy of your parrot’s initial veterinary examination (medical record) within 4 business days of adoption.

• Vaccinations & Care: Your parrot will already have age-appropriate vaccinations. Please avoid giving additional vaccines within the first 10 days. Continue routine vet visits and follow proper care guidelines.

Exceptions to the Guarantee

While we ensure every parrot leaves us in good health, certain conditions are not covered:

• Temperament & Physical Traits: We cannot guarantee your parrot’s behavior, size, weight, color, markings, or breeding ability.

• Owner Negligence: The guarantee becomes void if illness results from neglect, poor diet, lack of care, or failure to follow veterinary recommendations.

• Surgical Procedures: Elective surgeries or procedures are not included in this guarantee.

Before leaving Joe Parrots, each bird undergoes a full health check by a licensed avian veterinarian to ensure they are in excellent condition. Once adopted, please have your parrot examined by your own veterinarian within 4 days to confirm their well-being.
